Surrounded by a vocal team of connaisseurs of the early Baroque music, Romain Bockler, who will play the title role, and Jean-Marc Aymes on harpsichord and conducting, have set themselves a challenge: to recapture the emotional power of Monteverdi's masterpiece, anchoring it both in its Renaissance heritage and in the future of Baroque opera. And for this unique performance, the power of the music will be enhanced by Jimmy Boury's spatial and lighting direction.
